New Foxhill Medical Centre approved
Plans for the new Foxhill Medical Centre were approved at a planning committee hearing on 10th November.
Construction is now expected to begin in early 2010 with the facility complete and open to the public in Spring 2011.
The development is being delivered by Community 1st Sheffield as part of NHS Sheffield’s investment in the LIFT (Local Improvement Finance Trust) programme and demonstrates NHS Sheffield’s ongoing investment in health and community facilities for the people of Sheffield.
The new medical centre, which will be located on Fox Hill Crescent, off Fox Hill Road, will replace the existing Foxhill Medical Centre which has outgrown its premises as patient list sizes have grown. It will enable existing and new services to be delivered from a bigger building with better access and modern therapy and treatment facilities.
